Hello to all! This week, the last week of the semester, is going to be so very hectic as we will be taking our final exams! On Monday, I only have one final for Ministerial Methods, which shouldn’t be too difficult. Tuesday is a study day for me. However, Wednesday and Thursday are going to be the two most difficult days throughout the week. In the span of 36 hours, I will have five finals!! So, the study day on Tuesday will be well worth it!
On Friday evening, we will have Gaudeamus, which is a talent show of sorts where the returning guys imitate the new guys. It is going to be interesting to see who can imitate me with my extremely large (some of the guys call them gargantuan) feet. This is going to be something to see. I will be sure to have someone take a picture so I can post on here later.
I am looking forward to being home for Christmas next weekend. It will be good to be amongst family and friends. I will be making a couple of stops at different churches throughout my break to thank the women of the ladies’ groups at Blessed Sacrament in Clermont and Corpus Christi in Celebration. I will be getting in touch with the pastors some time this week.
I would like to continue to thank all of you for your prayers and support! This first semester would have been so much more difficult had it not been for you all. It is awesome to experience God’s love. Thank you again.
God Bless!! Got to go study. Please pray for all the seminarians this week.
Bye for now….
Hello all!
After a five-and-a-half hour drive, I finally made it back to Miami just in time for night prayer last night. I knew I was in trouble when I got on the Turnpike yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock and immediately stopped. In fact, the first hour I was on the road I think I went about 8 miles. Once we finally got going, it started to rain and then accidents started to happen everywhere, which slowed us down again. I said a quick prayer to get me back to the seminary safe and then popped in a good CD and just took my time. Thank God that nothing bad happened on the way down!
I really enjoyed my Thanksgiving Break with the family! It was nice to get to spend some time with the people who are nearest to my heart. I was a bit disappointed that my sister couldn’t make it home for Thanksgiving because of a work conflict, but she was with us in spirit. There were enough people there though to have her share of the trimmings. (I know I sure had my fair share!!)
The next couple of weeks will be a bit challenging for us here at the seminary as we begin our last two weeks of the semester. This week the teachers will be cramming in so much information so that we can cover everything for the final exams next week. After finals, it is back to Orlando again for the holidays. Hopefully traffic won’t be as bad as it was yesterday.
I am looking forward to meeting some of my benefactors and supporters during Christmas Recess as I am going to try to serve a Mass or two at Blessed Sacrament in Clermont and Corpus Christi in Celebration. The womens’ groups at those parishes have been so generous and have decided to sponsor me in this year of seminary formation. I thank them tremendously for their support.
I hope all is going well! I will try to find some time over the next few days to update everyone on the progress of my papers and exams. For now, gotta run! God Bless!!
